I've come to the conclusion that political elections are less about policies and more about racism (any kind), ageism, and misogyny. And that is in no order of importance.
I hate fake. I hate manipulation. I hate devices.
That's why I hate politics.

I'm with you. It's a kind of global high school popularity contest with none of the contestants really being truthful/decent people. I am so glad our election is O-V-E-R.
Australia, the U.S and New Zealand have all had elections this year. Groan.
Correction: You'd think I'd be accurate about my own country, but our election was, in fact, last year. Remember all the "Kevin 07" stuff? The horror of it all is still that fresh with me, I guess.
